The vision of Ford's truck team was clear: Redesign America favorite in the truck and came out to give customers unrivaled capability, unprecedented choice and a host of smart features that will change.
The result is a new 2009 Ford F-150, a new benchmark in the segment of full-size pickup truck industry leader - who has built more than 33 million F-Series pickups since 1948.
Ford truck team adopted a holistic, 360 degree approach to redesign the new 2009 F-150 - the first segment features a new external drive is marked with lattice dramatic three-bar and more spacious, flexible and refined interior, to the unparalleled choice of cab styles and trim levels - including a new Platinum series transform luxury truck.
Just as dramatic improvements under the sheets. A new high-strength, lighter chassis is the backbone that allows this basket to provide a more reliable power, fuel economy and safety, and other towing and payload.

In all, more than 1,000 Ford engineers, designers, researchers and others working together to develop the new 2009 F-150. The team drew inspiration by listening to Ford's large customer base.
"Before starting work on a new truck, we continued our conversations with people who use trucks every day for work and play," said Matt O'Leary, chief engineer of the F-150 2009. "We went to their farms, workplaces and homes, we create design features that will enhance the properties and their experience, really, their lives."
The result will be clear to customers when the new 2009 F-150 rides on an assembly line at Ford's truck plant in Dearborn (Michigan) and Kansas City Assembly Plant Claycomo, Mo - and the new F-150 will be available in dealer showrooms this fall.

Ford F-150 customers address tough jobs when they work and play, and they need a full-size trucks rose to the challenge. Flow F-150 was the most capable truck on the market, but Ford's truck team lead capacity to new levels with the 2009 models.
Improvements start with a frame F-150 2009 fully boxed constructed with hydro-formed steel rails and high-strength side. Lightweight frame provides 10 percent more torsional rigidity, which offers enhanced durability and security. Sturdy chassis also paved the way for the new F 2009-150 to increase for the first class, the current model of towing and carrying capacity in all cab configurations.
"The new improved chassis helps deliver additional payload and towing capacity as well as improving fuel economy, which we know leads to customers," said O'Leary.
Thank you for the strength of the frame and comprehensive package of standard safety equipment including side curtain airbags, the new F-150 is designed to win the top safety rating of Directors of the National Road Safety and Transport Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
Complementing the modern frame is a series of high-tech features that ensures the F-150 is sure-foot and safe in all driving and load conditions. F-150 offers a new segment of the first standard AdvanceTrac ® with RSC ® (Roll Stability Control) and the control trailer and more available rearview camera Assist and Trailer Brake Controller a segment first integrated light pickup.
The interior of the new 2009 F-150 SuperCrew offers more usable space for moving more people and with a speed of 6-inch stretch increases legroom in the rear and cargo capacity. A mechanically articulated second-row seat flips and out of the way. Customers can choose from the complexity of the workhorse XL, sporty STX and off-road capable FX4 to mid-range XLT. For those looking for a strong luxury, Ford offers the high-end trap and King Ranch F-150 models.
The new F-150 2009 is the Platinum series, the most luxurious F-150 ever and the answer to a perennial question: Just how high-end clients want to leave the truck?
F-150 Platinum features a satin chrome grille prominently with fine mesh inserts, 10-way captain's chairs coated with a top-quality leather, tuxedo stitching and embroidered logos on the seats. Satin accent the wheat ash wood and aluminum panels give the dash, center console and doors an elegant look and feel. Standard 20-inch polished aluminum wheels give the truck 16 commanding presence on the road.
With more customers interested in personalizing their trucks, Ford offers the widest selection of wheels in the segment with 13 victims in various F-150.
Under the hood, the new F-150 will be powered by three modern V-8 engine, mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission or a new fuel-efficient 6-speed. Machine are:
5.4-liter 3-valve Triton V-8, which has been optimized for better performance with increased horsepower and torque and capable of running on E85 (85 percent ethanol and 15 percent of gasoline), regular unleaded gasoline or any blend in between.
4.6-liter, 3-valve V-8, which is new for F-150. Both the 5.4-liter and 4.6 liter 3-valve V-8 uses an open valve injection. This unique feature increases the flow of fuel into the combustion chamber, thereby increasing the power during towing and reduced emissions.
4.6-liter, 2-valve V-8, V-8 choice in the third line-up that offers more power with fuel economy performance V-6 truck out.
It's all machine-V-8 providing an increasing range of the average fleet mpg fuel economy compared with the F-150 exit.
Diesel and EcoBoost gas turbo direct injection engines are planned for F-150 in the year 2010 also.
Most of the "Smart" Features
Ford's researchers spent thousands of hours listening to truck buyers to gain inspiration for a number of clever new features for the new 2009 Ford F-150.
It starts from an intelligent, which has a flow-through console that has been extended by about 2 inches and is large enough to store two or more laptops. Sirius Travel Link ™ that when combined with voice activated navigation will provide users with a variety of data services including real-time traffic, weather coast to coast and fuel prices due to more than 120,000 retail outlets.
Voice-activated navigation that integrates several functions, including voice recognition destination entry, climate control and SIRIUS satellite radio into one easy to use system, displaying them on 8-inch screen with touch screen.
Sony audio system that offers a 700 watt, 5.1 surround sound and 10 speakers and amps and is certified by Sony Sony to offer a unique experience, listening to the rich.
